Omarosa Manigault Newman has added another major title to her name — law school graduate. The former reality TV star and political figure recently earned her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center. Even while managing her career in entertainment, she made time for academic success.
Her graduation took place on May 23, marking a proud moment for both Omarosa and the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) community. This achievement adds to her growing list of academic honors.
A Third HBCU Degree for Omarosa
This latest degree is Omarosa’s third from an HBCU. She first graduated from Central State University in Ohio with a degree in communications. Later, she earned her master’s from the prestigious Howard University.
Now, with a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Southern University, she continues to prove her dedication to education. Omarosa’s journey reflects the rich tradition of Black academic excellence fostered by HBCUs.
Leadership and Recognition on Campus
While studying at Southern University, Omarosa didn’t just focus on classes. She also served as president of the campus Rotaract chapter. Additionally, she worked as the Senior Editor of the Journal of International Law Business & Policy.
Her work in legal writing and public speaking earned her a spot in the elite Order of Barristers. This honor is reserved for law students who excel in advocacy and courtroom skills.
Balancing Entertainment and Education
Many know Omarosa from her time on reality television. She first caught the public’s eye as a standout contestant on The Apprentice. Over the years, she appeared on shows like Celebrity Apprentice, The Surreal Life, and Celebrity Big Brother.
Despite a busy entertainment career, Omarosa kept pursuing education. She even appeared on Hulu’s competition series Got to Get Out while completing law school. Her ability to balance these two demanding worlds is nothing short of inspiring.
A Political Career Adds to Her Experience
Omarosa’s public career wasn’t limited to television. She made history by joining the Trump administration as Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison. In this role, she used her skills in public relations and media strategy at a national level.
