Legendary artist and entrepreneur MC Lyte delivered an inspiring keynote speech at Bowie State University’s Winter 2024 Commencement. Graduates gathered at the Leonidas S. James Physical Education Complex in Maryland on December 19 to hear her powerful words. The event celebrated their academic success while emphasizing their potential to create change.

“I want the HBCU students to understand their power,” MC Lyte shared. “They’re at the precipice of everything new and great.”
