Glorilla Donates $25,000 to Melrose High School

Rapper Gloria Hallelujah Woods, famously known as Glorilla, recently made headlines for giving back to her alma mater. The Memphis native donated $25,000 to Melrose High School, the institution she proudly graduated from. This generous contribution led the school to name its media center in her honor.

During the ceremony, the 25-year-old artist shared her gratitude and excitement. “This is a nostalgic feeling; I can’t believe I’m this old now,” she joked. Glorilla added, “I hope the students are happy and excited.”

Celebrating New Beginnings with Property Ownership

Glorilla also shared another major milestone—becoming a property owner. She announced the purchase on Dec. 19 through an X post, stating, “Bought my first piece of land in my city today along with giving back to my high school I graduated from.”

In photos accompanying her post, the rapper proudly held a sign congratulating her on the “commercial purchase.” While she hasn’t revealed plans for the property, this achievement highlights her focus on building a legacy and investing in her community.

Overcoming Financial Challenges

The “Let Her Cook” rapper’s latest moves show her growth and determination. However, Glorilla has been open about her struggles with money management in the past. During an interview on The Shop, she admitted to spending money as quickly as she earned it.

“I was just spending money, and I’m like, ‘OK, I’m getting it. I’m making it, but I’m spending it too,’” she shared. Fortunately, her mentor and record label head, Yo Gotti, helped her turn things around by hiring an accountant.

Building Wealth and Giving Back

Glorilla’s journey is an inspiring story of turning challenges into opportunities. Property ownership is a significant step toward generational wealth. Coupled with her dedication to supporting students in Memphis, the rapper is setting an example for young Black women everywhere.

From chart-topping hits to impactful community work, Glorilla continues to show that success is about more than fame. It’s about lifting others while building a strong foundation for the future.
