Stacia Mac’s EmpowerHer Tennis Classic took center stage in Chicago on August 25, blending business networking with the excitement of tenniscore. This unique event showcased Mac’s commitment to supporting Black women in both personal and professional spheres.

A Fresh Take on Networking Events

Mac’s EmpowerHer Tennis Classic was more than just a tennis match. It offered a fresh perspective on traditional networking events. “I wanted to create something more personable and engaging,” said Mac. She chose tennis as the central theme to break away from the formal and often stiff nature of typical business gatherings.

Mac, alongside her friends Ronneshia Foots and Dr. Princess Lomax, brought together dozens of Black women for a day of networking and tennis. The event was designed to be both fun and productive, providing a relaxed environment where participants could connect while enjoying the sport.

Tenniscore Fashion Steals the Show

The tenniscore trend was in full swing at the EmpowerHer Tennis Classic. Guests arrived dressed in stylish athleisure, perfectly capturing the sporty chic vibe of the event. Mac herself made a fashion statement with her outfit. Styled by D. Rushing, she wore a white tennis one-piece from FashionNova, paired with a black Alo visor, Chanel sneakers, and a Chanel tennis racket.

This fashion-forward approach not only highlighted the tenniscore trend but also allowed attendees to showcase their personal style while engaging in meaningful networking.

Stacia Mac’s Vision for Empowerment

Stacia Mac is known for her philanthropic efforts through the Mac Effect Nonprofit and EmpowerHer initiative. Her passion for empowering Black women is evident in her work. “The Mac Effect addresses systemic challenges in our community, from educational disparities to socioeconomic inequalities,” Mac explained.

EmpowerHer supports Black women through various programs, including entrepreneurship workshops, financial assistance, and mental health care. Mac emphasized the importance of providing a supportive community, stating, “Even the strongest among us need a community that uplifts and supports us.”

Overcoming Challenges and Staying Focused

Despite facing personal challenges, Mac remains dedicated to her mission. Recent headlines about a legal issue involving her daughter did not deter her. Mac used this experience to further strengthen her commitment to mental health support through the Mac Care program.

“My brand isn’t defined by my family life; it’s defined by the positive impact I’ve made,” Mac said. She continues to focus on her goal of empowering and uplifting Black women, regardless of external perceptions.
