Yasmine-Imani McMorrin has just been elected as mayor of Culver City, California and is now the first Black woman to do so! She was reportedly voted in unanimously.

Before being elected as the city’s new mayor, McMorrin served as Vice Chair of the Culver City General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC).

If that wasn’t enough excellence for you, McMorrin is also the Director of Education Equity at California Children’s Defense Fund all while being a mom.

We salute you, sis! Congratulations! #BWLM💕
