We are so proud to announce our sister, Dr. Topeka K. Sam ( @topekaksam ), has joined FRSH ( @Frsh.Community ) as co-founder and Chief Visionary Officer. FRSH is the first financial services platform built for the justice-impacted community. The platform includes an FDIC insured bank account, debit card, access to no-to-low-cost health benefits with credit-building functionality in the works.

Per a press release, each new FRSH user will receive a virtual card and then debit card in the mail. They will also have access to over 55 thousand free ATMs and enjoy no-fee direct deposit, no-fee bill pay and no overdraft fees.

…but wait… There’s more! FRSH does not require background checks, credit checks, proof of income, or a minimum balance to open a bank account, making their financial services super accessible for those who have been denied these services due to their background.

“With more than 40,000 legal barriers to employment, housing, education and more, we experienced first-hand these basic human rights violations and witnessed how daily for millions of Americans who have been impacted by the criminal legal system experience the same,” Dr. Topeka K. Sam, FRSH co-founder & Chief Visionary Officer said.

“We wanted to create a solution that is a critical necessity for our community. Equity and access to financial education, products and services that matter. Our lived experience is our expertise. We are built for the community by the community. Just that simple.”

This is going to be a game changer for the justice impacted community and our community overall! When we place everyone in a position to win it reflects on everyone. Learn more at http://www.MyFRSH.com#BWLM💕
