Keisha Chanté announced her pregnancy on October 6, 2026 with a maternity shoot, and then told on the two months she spent not being able to keep water down.

The former “106 & Park” host described a first trimester that took her out of her own life. Every scent and every sound overwhelmed her. “I couldn’t even hold down a sip of water,” she said. “I pretty much locked myself in my room for two months.”

That is the part worth saying out loud. The photographs are beautiful and the sickness was not, and plenty of women have had exactly that stretch and never heard anybody with a camera crew admit to it.

The reveal itself came with a joke on herself. She had assumed a girl, on the evidence of her own closet.

“I’m so excited. I’m such a girlie girl. I’m always in pink. Everything is pink and pink and pink,” she said. “So I thought I was gonna have a girl, but it’s a boy! I’m so excited for all the boy fashion!”

Writing to the baby, she kept it short. “Thank you God. To my sweet baby, I am sooo in love. I can’t wait to meet you! I am grateful and honored you chose me to be your mommy,” she wrote. “I’ve spent every day daydreaming about you and all the fun adventures I want to take you on.”

On how she got here, she gave the credit away. “I’m very free-spirited, and whatever the universe wants for me, I’ll have. But he said he was ready. He set up the play and he nailed it! God bless him,” she said.

And on what she hopes the boy picks up: “He’s brilliant and super creative and just constantly doing things that I’m inspired by. So I would love to see my son have his mannerisms and his swag.”

Two months in a dark room, then a photo shoot. Both are the pregnancy.
