A Celebration of Sisterhood in Barbados

Tené Nícole’s 7th annual Support Your Girlfriends ‘Glossy’ Getaway turned Barbados into a paradise of style, healing, and empowerment. The event blended luxury living with deep sisterhood, creating memories that attendees say will last a lifetime.

The glossy retreat featured private villas, a personal chef, and nights filled with karaoke, TikTok challenges, and endless laughter. Three new Glossy members were also welcomed into the circle, leaving with new sisters and lifelong connections.

Pink Power Welcome and Island Vibes

The week kicked off with vibrant energy on Monday. Guests soaked in the resort before gathering for the all-pink “Getting Back To Us” Welcome Dinner at Baia Barbados. Hosted by Dr. Nikkia McClain, the dinner was filled with food, laughter, and a sea of glowing pink outfits.

Barbados Tourism rolled out the red carpet with an island tour that showed off the beauty of every corner. The breathtaking views and cultural touchpoints reminded the Glossies why the island was the perfect backdrop for this gathering.

Giving Back and Crowning Moments of Empowerment

Tuesday brought a powerful mix of philanthropy and empowerment. The “I Am A Girl!” Giveback Experience, hosted by author Jen Hayes Lee and Lyndsay Levingston of SurThrive Her, gave attendees the chance to pour back into the community.

That evening, the “Getting Back To You” Pow(H)er Dinner in all-white encouraged women to honor their crowns. Testimonies and tears were shared, while crowns were adjusted, straightened, and blessed. For many, it was the first time they had ever felt such a circle of healing power.

Freedom, Wealth, and Joyful Living

By Wednesday, the energy shifted to freedom and joy. Modupe Wyelae Rouse presented the “Getting Back Your Freedom” Beach Day, inspired by her new book Finally FREE: A Guided Path for Your Journey to Freedom. Sun, waves, and no deadlines made the day unforgettable.

Later, Charreah Jackson hosted the “Getting Back Your Shine” Pool Pit Pow(H)er Lunch. The evening ended with Debra Marshall’s birthday celebration at “Getting Back Your Wealth” Dinner, where securing financial power was the theme. Arkell Cox then brought the house down with “Getting Back Your Life,” blending inspiration, dance, and spirituality.

Yacht Life and Metallic Chic Magic

Thursday brought glamour at sea. Guests boarded a yacht in coordinated pink swimsuits, creating a music-video-worthy moment of laughter, joy, and sisterhood. The experience embodied freedom and luxury all at once.

The finale dinner, themed “Getting Back To Sisterships,” delivered pure elegance with a Metallic Chic dress code. Shimmering gowns and bold energy filled the evening as Glossies toasted to sisterhood, success, and seven years of shared transformation.

Farewell Breakfast and Lasting Lessons

Friday wrapped up the experience with a heartfelt farewell breakfast. Glossy welcome bags, laughter, and reflections reminded everyone that this was not goodbye, but simply “see you soon.”

What began as an idea has blossomed into a movement—seven years, seven retreats, and seven layers of transformation. The Barbados getaway proved once again that when women gather with open hearts and bold spirits, crowns rise higher and the world feels the shift.
