Angel Reese celebrates Baltimore pride with new Reebok sneaker
Angel Reese has revealed her latest sneaker with Reebok, a design called “Charm City.” The shoe honors her hometown of Baltimore and reflects her pride in the community that raised her.
“This one’s for Charm City, to honor my roots and the community of Baltimore that has backed me from day one,” Reese said. She explained that the city gave her grit and shaped her into who she is today.
The sneaker matches the colors of the Baltimore Ravens, the NFL team she grew up supporting. It will go on sale in October for $120, adding to the earlier three Reebok Angel Reese 1 colorways: Diamond Dust, Receipts Ready, and Mebounds.
Charm City sneaker inspired by grit and community
Reese debuted the “Charm City” sneaker during a recent WNBA game against the Connecticut Sun. Fans quickly noticed the bold design, which connects directly to Baltimore’s culture and sports pride.
According to Sports Illustrated, this release expands her growing Reebok line, which officially launched on September 18. The new edition pays tribute not only to Baltimore’s NFL team but also to the toughness and resilience of the city itself.
By tying her sneaker to her hometown identity, Reese is building a brand that is both personal and meaningful. Her move shows how athletes can honor their communities while also leading in sports fashion.
Angel Reese gives back through foundation and Reebok partnership
Beyond her sneaker success, Reese is using her platform to empower kids. On August 16, she partnered with Reebok and her nonprofit, the Angel C Reese Foundation, for a large back-to-school event in Chicago.
More than 2,000 students received new Reebok backpacks filled with school supplies. The event also featured live music and food, creating a positive and memorable day for families. Reese’s hands-on involvement showed her deep commitment to giving children opportunities to succeed.
The initiative highlighted how she balances her professional career with her passion for community service. Her work proves that she values more than just her own achievements—she also invests in the next generation.
WNBA milestones add to Reese’s powerful year
Reese’s off-court impact is matched by her strong performance on the court. Despite missing games due to injuries, the Chicago Sky forward continues to make history in her second WNBA season.
She recently tied Tina Charles’ record by reaching 45 career double-doubles in only 60 games. Charles needed 68 games to achieve the same mark during the 2010–2011 season. Reese now stands tied for this season’s lead in double-doubles with stars Alyssa Thomas and A’ja Wilson.
These milestones reflect her steady rise in the league. They also cement her place as one of the brightest young talents shaping women’s basketball today.
