Marsai Martin is proving that her impact reaches far beyond Hollywood. The award-winning actress, producer, and entrepreneur has reached another major milestone through her nonprofit, Marsai’s Way Foundation, which has now served more than 10,000 students. At the same time, the foundation has launched a new scholarship program focused on helping young people build lasting financial security.

The latest initiative reflects Martin’s growing commitment to preparing the next generation for success. Rather than focusing only on education, the foundation also teaches financial literacy, leadership, and wealth-building skills. Those lessons could help students create opportunities that last long after graduation.

Marsai’s Way Foundation Reaches 10,000 Students Through Education and Mentorship

Marsai’s Way Foundation has expanded its reach by supporting more than 10,000 students through programs centered on scholarships, mentorship, education, and leadership development. The milestone highlights years of steady work to create opportunities for underserved young people.

Founded in honor of Martin’s late cousin, Marsai Chari Murray, the organization reflects a deeply personal mission. Martin, who was named after her cousin, has said the foundation exists to continue a legacy of opening doors for others. In an Instagram post celebrating the achievement, she wrote:

“If a way was made for me, then I have a responsibility to make one for someone else.”

The foundation now operates with support from 36 partners worldwide. Its work focuses on four key areas: scholarships, leadership development, health and wellness, and financial literacy.

Financial Empowerment Fellowship Gives Students Wealth-Building Skills

Alongside the milestone, the foundation introduced the FICO Financial Empowerment Fellowship. The new program will award ten college students $1,500 scholarships while teaching them practical money management and leadership skills.

The fellowship is designed to help students understand credit, personal finance, and long-term wealth creation. Those lessons have become increasingly important as many young adults navigate rising education costs and financial responsibilities.

Martin believes financial education deserves the same attention as career preparation. She shared that message in another Instagram post, saying:

“We spend so much time preparing for our careers, but understanding your finances is just as important.”

She added:

“Learning how credit works, making smart financial decisions, and building wealth for your future — those are life skills that create opportunities.”

Partnership Expands Financial Education for Young Women

The fellowship builds on a three-year partnership between Marsai Martin and Seeds of Fortune Inc. The collaboration, announced earlier in 2026, aims to provide financial education, wealth-building strategies, and career development resources to 10,000 young women.

Participants will receive financial education from FICO while also taking part in leadership training through Seeds of Fortune Inc. However, the program extends beyond the scholarship recipients themselves.

Each fellow will also help classmates and members of their communities gain access to financial education resources. That approach creates a ripple effect, allowing participants to share what they learn with others.

Leadership Development Creates Opportunities Beyond the Classroom

Students selected for the fellowship will also attend the Marsai Martin Resolution Brunch. The event offers opportunities to connect with Martin, fellow scholars, and community leaders who can help inspire future careers.

Applications are open to students attending accredited two-year colleges, four-year universities, trade schools, and vocational programs across the United States. The application deadline is September 21.

By combining scholarships with practical financial education, Martin’s foundation is investing in more than college students. It is helping young people develop the confidence and knowledge needed to build stronger financial futures while creating opportunities for the next generation to succeed.
