New Emotional Wellness App Offers Quick Daily Support

Nina Westbrook has launched a new app called Nebbi to help people manage daily emotional struggles in just one minute a day. Westbrook, a licensed marriage and family therapist, created the app with co-founder Sharndre Kushor, co-founder of Crimson Education.

Nebbi is designed for busy people who want quick, science-backed tools for emotional well-being. The app provides a calm, judgment-free space to track feelings, understand emotional patterns, and take small steps toward better mental health. Westbrook says she built Nebbi for “the moments before breakdown” when people carry a quiet emotional weight.

Science-Backed Approach to Emotional Wellness

Nebbi uses techniques rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and nervous system regulation. It fills the gap between self-help content and professional therapy by offering practical, everyday tools.

Users get daily emotional check-ins, personalized “resets” to boost mood, and a feedback loop that helps them reflect on what works. Weekly summaries highlight emotional trends, making it easier for people to understand their feelings and take meaningful action.

A Flexible Solution for Modern Mental Health Needs

One in three adults experiences emotional fatigue, yet many avoid therapy due to high costs or limited access. Westbrook and Kushor designed Nebbi to make mental health support affordable, accessible, and impactful in short bursts.

The app also avoids overwhelming notifications, choosing instead to gently encourage regular use. It aims to improve mood, emotional intelligence, personal habits, and overall well-being. Kushor says the goal is to give people “tools that combine emotional intelligence with data-driven insights” for everyday challenges.

Westbrook’s Broader Mental Health Advocacy

Beyond the Nebbi app, Westbrook is known for her work in building conversations around relationships and self-awareness. She created the Do Tell! Conversation Card Game, hosts the Do Tell Relationship Podcast, and runs the Bene Moments of Mindfulness Podcast.

With Nebbi, she is extending her mission to erase the stigma surrounding mental health by making emotional wellness tools quick, easy, and backed by science.
