Marsai Martin Aims to Empower 10,000 Young Women in Three Years

Actress and producer Marsai Martin is stepping up her efforts to help young women gain financial freedom. Through her nonprofit, Marsai’s Way Foundation, she’s partnering with Seeds of Fortune Inc. to provide financial education and mentorship. Their goal is to reach 10,000 young women in the next three years.

The initiative officially launched on June 6 at the Seed Forum: Women of Color Creating Wealth Summit. The event connected young women with financial leaders, offering insights on building wealth. “Education is the foundation of economic equity,” said Nitiya Walker, founder of Seeds of Fortune.

Why Financial Literacy Matters for Young Women of Color

Many young women lack access to financial education, making it harder to build wealth. This program tackles that gap by offering mentorship, scholarships, and career resources. Seeds of Fortune already helps young women of color get into college and grow professionally. Now, with Marsai’s support, their impact will grow even more.

The partnership includes ongoing mentorship and special events like the Sai Summer Cookout in August. “This is about creating freedom,” Marsai said. “I want girls like me to know they can own their futures.”

Marsai’s Commitment to Financial Education Goes Beyond This Program

This isn’t Marsai’s first effort to boost financial literacy. She previously created “Money With Marsai Martin,” a digital series making finance fun for Gen Z. Her focus remains on closing the wealth gap for young Black women.

By combining education, mentorship, and real-world opportunities, this program could change lives. Marsai’s vision is clear – helping young women build generational wealth and become leaders in every field.
