Tia Jones Granted Temporary Protective Order

Tia Jones, the former fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy, has secured a temporary protective order against him. This comes after a tumultuous legal battle involving assault allegations and infidelity drama. The order was granted following an incident on March 7, 2025, where Jones accused Worthy of violent actions.

Despite the Williamson County District Attorney dropping criminal charges against Worthy, Jones pursued the protective order. Her attorney stated, “Based upon the truthful information provided by Ms. Jones, a judge has granted a temporary protective order on her behalf.” Jones is cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues.

The Night of the Altercation

The conflict began when Worthy asked Jones to leave his home after discovering infidelity. According to reports, Jones refused to leave, leading to a heated argument. She accused Worthy of assault and property damage, while Worthy claimed Jones scratched his face during the altercation.

Worthy chose not to press charges against Jones, but the incident has sparked a legal and public relations battle. Jones’ attorney emphasized her commitment to seeking justice, stating, “She looks forward to the facts and circumstances of that night coming to light through the formal legal process.”

Xavier Worthy Denies Allegations

Worthy’s legal team has denied all allegations made by Jones. In a statement, his attorneys said, “Mr. Worthy denies each of the allegations by Ms. Jones. Unfortunately, false allegations continue to be made, this time in civil court.” They also claimed that Jones returned stolen items to Worthy’s residence but noted that some belongings are still missing.

The District Attorney’s decision not to press criminal charges has bolstered Worthy’s defense. His attorneys reiterated his innocence, saying, “Mr. Worthy maintains his innocence and stands by the conclusions of the District Attorney.”

A Complicated Relationship

The drama between Jones and Worthy highlights the challenges of high-profile relationships. Infidelity allegations and legal disputes have added layers of complexity to their breakup. Jones’ decision to seek a protective order underscores her determination to protect herself and seek accountability.
