In a world where technology and social justice often collide, Paulina Bryan’s LiveLawyerApp is a beacon for change. As CEO and founder, Paulina turned personal challenges into innovation, creating an app that offers legal protection on-demand for anyone stopped by police. Designed especially for those who feel vulnerable in these situations, LiveLawyerApp is empowering communities and reshaping how people navigate law enforcement interactions.

The Power of Immediate Legal Support: LiveLawyerApp’s Impact

LiveLawyerApp provides instant access to a lawyer via a FaceTime-like feature during police stops. When activated, users are connected with legal support to ensure their rights are respected. The app also sends an immediate location alert to pre-selected contacts, offering peace of mind for loved ones. The added layer of protection makes this app especially significant for Black and Brown communities, who often face unjust scrutiny.

“Too often, people feel powerless in these situations,” Bryan shares, “but LiveLawyerApp helps them know they have legal support just a tap away.”

The app not only allows people to feel safer but also works to reduce unnecessary arrests and legal fees that could arise from such encounters. It’s a game-changer for anyone who might feel intimidated or uncertain about their rights when stopped.

A Personal Mission Sparked by Frustration

Paulina’s journey to creating LiveLawyerApp began with a simple idea sparked by frustration. Her son, after buying a new car, found himself repeatedly stopped by police, calling her each time, unsure of how to respond. Frustrated, Paulina joked, “Too bad you can’t Skype a lawyer.”

From that lighthearted comment, a serious mission was born. Bryan knew there was a way to bridge the gap between those who feel unsupported in these situations and lawyers who could offer guidance on demand. By 2014, she started the patent process, determined to bring LiveLawyerApp to life.

Overcoming Personal Loss and Professional Challenges

Though the journey was tough, Paulina remained steadfast. In 2016, her son was tragically killed, a loss that intensified her commitment to creating a solution. Determined to help others avoid similar fates, she dedicated herself to finalizing the app’s development, even as she faced her own personal grief.

The path from idea to product was complex. Moving from her former role in underwriting, Paulina focused solely on LiveLawyerApp, navigating tech and funding challenges. Her recent patent approval in February has been a major milestone, helping her bring the app closer to launch.

Redefining Safety and Empowerment in Vulnerable Situations

LiveLawyerApp isn’t just an app; it’s a tool for empowerment. Bryan’s vision goes beyond offering instant legal support—she sees it as a way to educate communities, prevent costly legal battles, and bring peace of mind.

The app includes a voice-activated feature, designed for situations where a person might be ordered not to touch their phone. By simply saying “LiveLawyerApp,” users can activate the app hands-free, ensuring they remain connected to legal support and that all interactions are stored securely in the cloud.

“This app can mean the difference between a safe outcome and one with lasting consequences,” Paulina explains. “I want people to know that they’re protected and supported.”
