Queen Latifah Leads Good American’s Iconic Campaign with Style and Strength

Queen Latifah, the legendary actress, rapper, and producer, is the latest face of Good American’s “American Icons” campaign. Announced on October 24, the campaign features Latifah in styles that honor her ’90s-era looks from “Living Single” while blending modern flair. Good American shared the news with excitement on Instagram, calling Latifah a “trailblazer” who has redefined entertainment by breaking boundaries in music, film, and television.

Good American’s campaign aims to spotlight inspirational women who’ve made a lasting impact. Latifah’s image embodies a bold, unapologetic embrace of Black womanhood, standing for strength, empowerment, and resilience. Styled by Julia Sarr-Jamois and captured by acclaimed photographer Cass Bird, Latifah wears fall-inspired pieces that blend comfort and sophistication, including oversized blazers and signature denim.

An Icon’s Message: Embracing Individuality and Humanity

As part of the campaign, Latifah shares a powerful message on what makes someone an icon. “What makes an icon?” she asks. “Being so good at being who you are that people say, ‘Damn, who is that?’” Her words resonate with those inspired by her career and contributions, showing how she continues to influence audiences across generations.

Latifah is known for her advocacy for women, Black identity, and humanity. “I stand for women. I stand for my beautiful Blackness. I stand for humanity,” she says in a campaign video shared on Instagram. Her words reflect Good American’s values of inclusivity and self-expression, values that resonate with their diverse audience.
