Allyson Felix, the legendary Olympic track star, has taken a big step for women athletes. She has launched Always Alpha, a management firm that focuses solely on women’s sports. This firm is reportedly the first of its kind, aiming to support women athletes in reaching their goals and sharing their unique stories.

Empowering Women Athletes

Always Alpha is dedicated to empowering women who are breaking barriers. The firm helps athletes take charge of their careers and build a brighter future on and off the field. It will assist women athletes across various sports in growing their brands in new and exciting ways. The firm also aims to support sports broadcasters, coaches, and athletes with powerful stories who want to use their voices for change.

Felix believes that sharing experiences and knowledge is essential. “With Always Alpha, we’re taking everything we learned and creating the modern management firm I used to dream of existing,” she stated. Her vision is to help the next generation of talent achieve their dreams and impact their communities positively.

A Personal Mission

Felix’s journey to launch Always Alpha stems from her own experiences as an athlete. She wished for a supportive platform when she was competing. Now, as a retired athlete, she wants to pass on the lessons she learned throughout her career. By establishing this firm, she hopes to create lasting change for women in sports.

Felix is joined in this endeavor by her brother, Wes Felix, and sports executive Cosette Chaput. Together, they bring years of experience and dedication to women’s empowerment. The support from Dolphin, an entertainment marketing and production company, enhances their mission to elevate women’s sports.

Building on Previous Successes

Always Alpha builds on Felix’s strong commitment to empowering women. In 2021, she launched her shoe brand, Saysh, focusing on creating running shoes designed specifically for women. She saw that the footwear industry often overlooked women’s needs. This prompted her to develop a brand “by women, for women,” ensuring inclusivity in sports.

Moreover, Felix collaborated with Athleta and the Women’s Sports Foundation to create The Power of She Fund: Child Care Grants. This initiative provides financial support to athlete-mothers, recognizing the unique challenges they face. Felix understands the importance of providing resources that allow women to thrive while balancing motherhood and their sports careers.

Leading with Compassion

Felix’s commitment to women extends beyond her business ventures. She recently helped establish the first nursery in the Olympic Village for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In partnership with Pampers, this nursery will support athlete-parents, allowing them to excel both as competitors and caregivers.

Felix’s accomplishments are remarkable. She has been appointed to the International Olympic Committee Athletes’ Commission and secured a $20 million grant to advance Black maternal health in the U.S. Her dedication continues to inspire countless women athletes.
