Marlie Love, co-creator of the popular social media platform “Traveling While Black,” is taking her passion for travel and adventure to a new level. Alongside her husband, Anthony Love, Marlie is launching an inspiring travel series on FOX SOUL. The show, “Traveling While Black with Anthony and Marlie,” premieres on October 12, 2024, and aims to highlight the experiences of Black travelers in a world where diversity in travel is often overlooked.

A New Chapter For ‘Traveling While Black’

The Loves’ new travel show is part of an exciting distribution deal with Converge Media, expanding their reach to television audiences. The couple, known for their engaging social media content, now brings the same energy and storytelling to the FOX SOUL network.

Marlie shared her excitement, stating, “Becoming part of the FOX SOUL family will allow us to continue sharing our passion for travel while bringing Black travel experiences to a broader audience.” The show promises to dive deep into both the joys and challenges that come with traveling while Black, offering viewers a unique and inclusive perspective.

What To Expect From The Show

Viewers of “Traveling While Black with Anthony and Marlie” can expect a mix of adventure, culture, and valuable travel tips. The couple will travel across the U.S. and to international destinations, highlighting places through the lens of Black travelers.

The show will feature segments like “Traveling While Black Travel Tips” and “Where Are You Traveling While Black?” which offer practical advice and personal stories from their journey. The Loves’ commitment to promoting safe, inclusive travel shines through as they aim to inspire their audience to explore the world without fear.

A Journey Rooted In History And Love

Marlie and Anthony Love’s platform, “Traveling While Black,” was inspired by the historical Negro Motorist Green Book, which provided safety tips for Black travelers during the era of segregation. The couple’s love for travel started in Missouri, where they met and bonded over their shared passion. They documented their travel experiences, which led to the growth of their platform that now has thousands of followers and over 150 episodes on YouTube.

Their goal has always been to show that Black travelers deserve spaces where they feel safe, welcomed, and represented. “We hope to inspire new adventures in our community and showcase the importance of inclusive and safe travel for all,” Marlie explained.

A Perfect Fit For FOX SOUL

The show’s addition to FOX SOUL is a significant moment for the network. D’Artagnan Bebel, General Manager and Head of Programming at FOX SOUL, expressed his excitement, saying, “Traveling While Black is a perfect fit for FOX SOUL. We are pleased to add Anthony and Marlie Love to our program offerings.”

With features in major outlets like Travel + Leisure, The Seattle Times, and The Drew Barrymore Show, the couple has already made waves in the travel industry. Their television debut on FOX SOUL is expected to further amplify their message of inclusivity and empowerment for Black travelers worldwide.
