Radiant Mom-to-Be Candiace Dillard Bassett Glows on the Red Carpet
Candiace Dillard Bassett was the epitome of radiance as she proudly showcased her baby bump on the red carpet at the GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards. The former Real Housewives of Potomac star, who recently announced her pregnancy, looked absolutely stunning in a bold red, body-hugging gown that accentuated her growing belly.
The 37-year-old mom-to-be was all smiles as she posed for the cameras, cradling her baby bump with a joyous glow. Her sleek hairstyle, rosy makeup, and sparkling accessories complemented her glamorous maternity look perfectly.
Hosting Duties and Music Advocacy
Bassett, who served as the host for the evening, joined the Recording Academy for their annual celebration, which brings together music luminaries and congressional leaders to champion creators’ rights and music advocacy. This year’s honorees included the legendary Sheryl Crow and Senators John Cornyn and Amy Klobuchar.
“The Recording Academy is always doing amazing things, but this is super cool to be proud of,” Bassett shared in an Instagram Story video, expressing her excitement for the event.
Embracing Motherhood After IVF Journey
Just two weeks ago, Bassett announced her pregnancy during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, revealing that she is about 13 weeks along and thrilled to be entering this new phase of life. The baby-to-be is the result of an embryo the couple froze two years ago during their in vitro fertilization (IVF) journey, which was documented on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“I kind of woke up and realized that I was never going to be 100 percent ready,” Bassett shared about her initial hesitancy. “I just had to trust the process and trust my doctors and stop being afraid and just do it.”
A New Chapter Filled with Opportunities
Bassett’s pregnancy news comes shortly after she announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Potomac after six remarkable seasons.
“With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP,” she shared with PEOPLE Magazine.
