The Importance of Mental Health for the WWE Superstar
As the longest reigning WWE Women’s Champion of the modern era, Bianca Belair, known by her real name Bianca Blair Crawford, has proven time and again that she is a force to be reckoned with in the world of professional wrestling.
However, behind the scenes, Belair has been intentional about prioritizing her mental health amidst her demanding schedule.
Balancing a Rigorous Training Regimen and Performance Schedule
Belair’s life as a WWE superstar is a whirlwind of activities, from rigorous training sessions to high-energy performances. “We’re on the road constantly, not just doing matches and shows, but doing appearances,” she explains.
“And I have a schedule that is like none other, even when I’m not champion, I have a championship schedule, so I’m constantly needing energy.”
Integrating Supplements for Peak Performance
To help fuel her grueling routine, Belair has relied on C4 Ultimate Energy, which has now become the official energy drink of the WWE. “C4 is so important to me. I’ve actually been using C4 way before I even got into WWE,” she reveals.
“It gets me through my workout. It’s really truly my go-to energy drink.”
Maintaining Motivation and Passion for the Sport
Belair’s dedication to her craft is fueled by her deep love for wrestling and the WWE. “I truly have a passion for wrestling, and a passion for WWE,” she says. “It helps that my husband is in the business as well, so we get to share these amazing moments together.”
The Importance of Representation and Legacy-Building
Belair also finds inspiration in her ability to serve as a role model and create a lasting legacy. “Representation to me is so important. I know I am where I am because of my role models,” she explains.
“So I’ve been trying to do the same thing for other people and bring them on stage with me.”
Prioritizing Rest and Self-Care
While Belair’s physical conditioning is undoubtedly impressive, she recognizes the equal importance of maintaining her mental health. “Mental health is everything,” she affirms. “I think everybody focuses so much on the physical. You go in the gym and you’re training and you’re working hard and you’re sore. You feel good about yourself. But mental health is just as important.”
Belair’s approach to self-care involves intentional rest, indulging in her hobbies, and finding moments of solace away from the spotlight. “I have to remember to rest. I have to remember to do things that I enjoy,” she says.
“Sometimes I just need to sit down and decompress, lay in my bed and do my guilty pleasure and eat in my bed and watch all my shows.”
