The YouTube ‘Side Hustle’ Turned into the Main Hustle

Jasmine McCall, a 32-year-old mom from Atlanta, Georgia, took a leap of faith when she quit her corporate job at Amazon to pursue her passion for creating content on YouTube. Little did she know that her “side hustle” would become her primary source of income, earning her a staggering $105,000 per month.

While working as a resource manager at Amazon, earning an impressive $124,000 annually, Jasmine decided to start a side hustle to generate extra income to offset childcare expenses. In a viral video, she documented how she increased her credit score from a dismal 495 to an impressive 820 by disputing inaccurate information on her credit report.

“By May 2022, I was earning enough to quit my Amazon job to work on my side hustle.” – Jasmine McCall, successful entrepreneur.

Encouraged by her newfound success, Jasmine’s husband, Jay, also left his engineering job to support her in this endeavor.

Raking in Six Figures While Working Just Two Hours a Day

The power couple’s decision paid off handsomely, as Jasmine revealed:

“From December 2022 to March 2023, we earned an average of $105,000 a month in passive income, mostly from digital product sales and YouTube ad revenue.” – Jasmine McCall.

A Balanced Life: Family, Success, and Flexibility

Remarkably, Jasmine’s work schedule consists of a mere two hours per day. After her morning self-care routine and quality time with her husband and 2-year-old son, she begins her workday. Mondays and Tuesdays are dedicated to creating YouTube content, while Wednesdays and Thursdays are reserved for partnership content and strategy sessions with brands. Fridays are set aside for publicity and press.

Jasmine ensures that her workday concludes by 1 pm, allowing her to spend the remainder of the day with her family, sometimes implementing a “no phones” rule. She expresses immense gratitude for the opportunity to work from home and witness her son’s growth, thanks to the support of a trustworthy nanny.

Breaking Free from the 9-to-5 Grind

Jasmine’s success has not only benefited her immediate family but has also enabled her parents to retire early. Reflecting on her journey, she acknowledges the daunting prospect of leaving the stability of a 9-to-5 job, but affirms that her decision has been a greater blessing than she could have ever imagined.

“Walking away from the stability of a 9-to-5 job can be scary when you don’t know what’s on the other side. But choosing this life has been a bigger blessing than we ever could have imagined,” she said.
