Joy Taylor and Taylor Rooks Unveil ‘Two Personal’ to Tackle Mental Health and More

Renowned sports journalists Joy Taylor and Taylor Rooks are breaking new ground with their highly anticipated podcast series, ‘Two Personal.’

This candid exploration promises to delve into mental health, relationships, racism, sexism, body image, and a myriad of other thought-provoking subjects.

An Unfiltered Glimpse into the Lives of Two Media Powerhouses

While audiences have grown accustomed to Taylor and Rooks’ insightful commentary on the world of sports, ‘Two Personal’ offers an intimate and unfiltered glimpse into their personal lives and experiences as women navigating the media landscape.

“There’s only been this tiny part that we have let people into,” Rooks explains. “So when you are just being yourself and talking about your lives, in the way that we are, there’s no way for it to be segmented, because this is truly just a conversation.”

Breaking Free from Restrictions and Embracing Authenticity

For years, Taylor and Rooks have been bound by the structures and limitations of their respective platforms. With ‘Two Personal,’ they are shattering those constraints, fostering an environment where they can freely express their thoughts, emotions, and perspectives without boundaries.

“It’s been a long process putting this all together and going through different versions of what we want the show to be,” Joy Taylor shares. “So we feel really good about it and we’re excited to step into a space that we haven’t been in together and to have different conversations than we’ve been having for most of our careers.”

Amplifying Black Women’s Voices in the Media

Beyond their personal journeys, Taylor and Rooks are committed to amplifying the voices of Black women in the media. They recognize the importance of showcasing the diversity of experiences and perspectives within the Black community, and ‘Two Personal’ serves as a platform to reclaim the narrative and control the messaging surrounding Black womanhood.

With their debut episodes, Joy Taylor and Taylor Rooks are poised to redefine the boundaries of media discourse, offering a refreshing and authentic space for meaningful conversations that resonate with audiences across the globe.
