Carlisha Hood has filed a lawsuit against the City of Chicago and the officers who arrested her and her 14 year old son after he shot Jeremy Brown who was brutally assaulting her.

She was facing a felony count of murder and another count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but her charges, as well as her son’s, were dropped this week.

Hood held a press conference with her attorneys today where they claimed she was falsely arrested, maliciously prosecuted and that she has also suffered emotional distress.

“On June 18 of this year, my life changed, my son’s life changed,” Hood said. “Never in a million years would I have imagined being brutally attacked, beaten and then arrested.” At one point, she also said that everything she has “worked for has been tarnished.”

Hood and her attorneys plan to file additional lawsuits. #BWLM💕
