Donald Trump says his residence in Mar-A-Lago has been abruptly raided by “a large group of FBI agents.”
He did not say why the agents were at his Florida property, but released a statement saying that the raid “was not necessary or appropriate.”
“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before,” Trump said in the statement. “After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”
The raid comes after prosecutors turned heir attention to Trump for his actions in the January 6th insurrection.
The FBI has not yet confirmed the raid and therefore hasn’t confirmed what exactly they were looking for. #BWLM💕
