She has served on the White House’s senior communications team since the beginning of Biden’s term and preceding that, was an adviser to his campaign and chief of staff to now-Vice President @kamalaharris
At the White House briefing before her departure, Jen Psaki, Jean-Pierre’s predecessor invited Jean-Pierre up to the podium with her and the two embraced each other as Psaki went over Jean-Pierre’s qualifications and the significance of her taking the job.
“I just can’t wait to see her shine at the podium. So congratulations, and I can’t wait to see you bring your own style, and brilliance, to this job, ” Psaki said to @CNN
