They do… Again! Singer #Neyo and his life partner #CrystalRenay got married for the second time on Sunday, April 24th in front of their family and friends in Las Vegas.
The ceremony was followed by a uniquely lavish reception dubbed the “Red Affair” due to the sea of red roses that coated every inch of the reception hall! Guests basked in romantic red lighting as they celebrated this couple, but not before overcoming a brief hardship during their first marriage.
After tying the knot in 2016 and welcoming sons Roman Alexander-Raj Smith and Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr., Neyo and Crystal decided to split in 2020. Last year, the singer told @Essence that they got a divorce, because they were both dealing with personal demons that they couldn’t overcome while they were together. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic happened and it ended up bringing them back together!
“[The quarantine] made us face the conflict head on and what that did is basically strengthen us because now, I don’t have to pull punches when I talk to you,” he said at the time. “You know exactly where I stand. I know exactly where you stand and through that we’ve decided to keep going and it’s a more genuine feel to what it is we’re doing now. It’s still a learning process, of course.”
The couple has been on a path of healing and growth ever since and do not plan on looking back! They even welcomed their first daughter, Isabella Rose, last June!
