There is no better time than now to find yourself spiritually and or help others do so! The COVID-19 pandemic has led people to seek hope in spirituality due to unstable world events which has allowed the spiritual industry to grow immensely.
The demand for the current spiritual boom was created by people who simply wanted to connect to their higher self once the world took a sharp left onto Uncertainty Blvd. There are people who have already been hip to alternative or non-traditional spiritual practices and they have found ways to create businesses from sharing their knowledge and services.
Let us tell you, these practitioners are THRIVING! In fact, @ShontelAnestasia, owner of the #UrbanGurviMama ( @golden.gurvi.soul) founded her business in 2017 and let’s just say sis is not missing corporate America!
“For the last two years, there has been a surge of people wanting to go back to their roots. Last year, I did just as well being self-employed at my shop as I did working in corporate America,” she shares with @CNBC.
Shantrelle Lewis of The Lucumi Sango Priest and Co-Founder of @SHOPPEBLACK, established the BEAUCOUP HOODOO ATRs Book Club during the pandemic.
“The resurgence of spirituality has created a market for people to want to purchase supplies that will allow them to create prosperity, to promote health, to bring in love, and to bring in all the good things that they want to attract to themselves by supporting people that look
just like them,” Lewis tells CNBC.
For some Black women who have already been working in the spirituality space before the pandemic, their revenue only increased and brought more awareness, and customers, to their businesses.
