GloRilla is turning her frustrating experiences finding hairstylists while travelling into a business opportunity. She was in another city, scrolling social media for somebody who could do her hair, and taking whoever answered.

“Sometimes we’ll get a reply. Sometimes they’ll reply but not be available,” she said. “So it was just super frustrating all the way around.” Booking people out of necessity has a cost, and she named it plainly. “I got messed up a few times.”

GloVerse is the fix she built for that, an on-demand beauty platform that puts professionals near you in one place and lets you book them. Georgii Speakman, founder and chief executive of the brand agency OUT.LI.ER, is a co-founder. It runs on the web and on Google Play now, with an App Store release planned by the end of 2026.

The mechanics are the point. A hair or makeup artist, a barber or an aesthetician signs up at GloVerse.co, builds a profile and a GloID, and puts it where her clients already are. On the other side, a customer browses by hair, braids, makeup or nails, sees each provider’s specialty, price points and star rating, filters by hair type and face shape, and decides whether the professional comes to her or she goes to them.

That last set of filters is the part she talks about herself. “Some of my favorite functions within the app are being able to put in your hair type and your face shape.”

She has put money into real estate and has said she intends to be a billionaire, and the reasoning behind both is the same thing she said about this. She is a big believer in making money in her sleep.

As for how big she expects it to get, she did not hedge. “My expectations is for GloVerse to be the biggest on-demand glam app and just the biggest app anyway.”
