Olandria Carthen met Pat McGrath in November 2025 and said she hoped to work with her, and on October 8, 2026 she was named the face of the Pandora x Pat McGrath campaign.
The meeting was at Glamour’s Women of the Year event. Carthen, a television personality and creator, said at the time that McGrath was sweet and warm and that she hoped they would work together soon. Nobody owed her anything then.
The collection is charms, rings and necklaces, and it puts Pandora’s jewelry alongside McGrath’s beauty work. Carthen is the face of the campaign.
“I never felt so confident on set before,” Carthen said. She had wanted a red lip. She chose a nude one instead, let the eye makeup carry the look, and McGrath took the input.
“She was so easy to work with, so easy,” Carthen said. She said McGrath told her: “I want you to feel good, and I want you to feel confident.”
Carthen has said she does not work the way a trend asks her to. “We’re not made to follow trends. I’ve never been a fan of that,” she said. “I kind of always wanted to make my own thing.”
