Reesa Teesa is turning one of TikTok’s biggest viral stories into a powerful new chapter. Two years after millions followed her unforgettable “Who TF Did I Marry?” series, the creator is releasing a memoir that focuses on healing, self-discovery, and hope instead of heartbreak.

The new book, What TF Do I Do Now?, will be released on Aug. 18. Rather than revisiting the man at the center of her viral videos, Reesa Teesa, whose real name is Tareasa Johnson, shifts the focus to herself. She explores the lessons she learned, the emotional healing that followed, and how she rebuilt her life after a painful marriage.

Reesa Teesa’s Memoir Tells the Story Beyond the Viral TikTok Series

Reesa Teesa became a household name after sharing her 52-part TikTok series, “Who TF Did I Marry?” The videos attracted more than 400 million views as viewers followed her account of a marriage that she alleged was built on repeated lies about identity, finances, and family.

However, she says the memoir tells a much deeper story. Speaking to People, Johnson explained that the viral series covered only a small chapter of her life.

“The ‘Who TF Did I Marry?’ series was really about this year and a half of my life with this one individual, but there’s so much more to me that led me to make the decision to be in that relationship.”

She revealed that writing the book brought unexpected emotions. Some chapters made her cry, while others made her question how much of herself she was ready to share.

Healing and Vulnerability Shape Reesa Teesa’s New Book

Johnson says vulnerability became the heart of her memoir. She believes true healing requires honesty, even when it feels uncomfortable.

“It takes a type of vulnerability that I did not know before, and yet I’m proud that I pushed through.”

She also explained that the book goes much deeper than her social media content. Instead of protecting every painful memory, she chose openness because she wanted readers to know they are not alone.

“My goal was to make sure no one feels as alone as I did… I want the reader to resonate with something in that book.”

By sharing both her struggles and her growth, Johnson hopes others will find comfort, strength, and the courage to face their own challenges.

Reesa Teesa Reflects on Personal Growth and Hard Truths

The memoir also examines Johnson’s own role in past relationships. She says writing the book forced her to look inward instead of placing all the focus on someone else.

She admitted that she had to confront patterns she was not proud of. According to Johnson, recognizing those habits became an important step toward personal growth and healthier relationships.

This level of self-reflection makes the memoir more than a story about a failed marriage. It becomes a story about accountability, healing, and becoming a stronger person.

From 400 Million Views to a Growing Multimedia Brand

Reesa Teesa has turned her viral success into a growing business. Since her TikTok series exploded online, she has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and secured a scripted television adaptation starring Natasha Rothwell.

She has also expanded her career beyond social media. Instead of allowing one viral moment to define her, she is building a multimedia brand based on authentic storytelling.

Johnson encourages other creators to think beyond social platforms.

“No longer do you have to limit yourself. Social media can open the door for a much bigger world than you ever thought.”

She believes a single idea can become much more than a viral post. It can lead to books, television, podcasts, movies, and long-term opportunities.

Reesa Teesa Wants Readers to Believe New Beginnings Are Possible

At its heart, What TF Do I Do Now? is a message of hope. Johnson wants readers to leave the book believing that difficult experiences do not have to define their future.

She hopes her honesty reminds people they are never alone, even during life’s hardest seasons. Instead of giving up after disappointment, she encourages others to reshape their dreams.

“I hope they don’t feel alone. You don’t have to give up on the dream that you had. We’re just simply going to edit the dream.”

For many women, Reesa Teesa’s journey is no longer just about a viral TikTok story. It is about resilience, growth, and discovering that every ending can become the beginning of something even greater.
