Black-owned skincare company Just for Teens is preparing for another major retail milestone. By September 2026, the Atlanta-based brand will expand its products to nearly 10,000 Dollar General stores across the United States, giving more families access to its skincare products for young consumers.

The expansion follows a period of rapid growth for the company. Just one year ago, the brand was available in about 4,000 Dollar General stores. Today, it has grown to more than 8,000 locations, with another nationwide rollout set to increase its reach even further.

Just for Teens Expands Across Thousands of Dollar General Stores

Founder Brian Reynolds said the latest expansion will include the company’s scented pimple patches, which are expected to arrive in Dollar General stores this September. The launch marks another step in the company’s plan to reach more customers through one of America’s largest discount retailers.

The opportunity came after Reynolds joined Dollar General’s small-business supplier program. The initiative helps growing businesses secure valuable shelf space in the retailer’s stores.

“I saw that there was an opportunity and a market, so I took advantage of it,” Reynolds said.

The continued expansion reflects increasing demand for the company’s products and demonstrates how strategic retail partnerships can help Black-owned brands grow nationwide.

Black-Owned Skincare Brand Builds a Strong Retail Presence

Founded in 2020, Just for Teens creates skincare products designed specifically for younger consumers. Its product lineup includes facial cleansers, moisturizers, mineral creams, pimple patches, sun patches, and bite patches.

Over the past 18 months, the company’s retail presence has grown quickly. Reynolds said expanding into major retail chains has helped the brand reach more customers while strengthening its position in the competitive skincare industry.

The latest Dollar General rollout will further increase the company’s visibility and make its products available in even more communities across the country.

Brian Reynolds Turns a Business Opportunity Into National Growth

For Reynolds, seeing Just for Teens products on store shelves across the country has been one of the most rewarding parts of the company’s journey.

“It’s fascinating to go into random stores in small towns and see your products on shelves,” Reynolds said.

He recalled learning that a friend discovered the company’s pimple patches at a Dollar General outside St. Louis. That moment showed just how far the Atlanta-based business had expanded beyond its hometown.

“We’re growing really quickly,” Reynolds added.

Dollar General Partnership Helps Just for Teens Reach More Families

Dollar General operates more than 20,000 stores nationwide, including over 1,130 locations in Georgia, making it one of the country’s largest discount retailers. The partnership gives Just for Teens access to customers in urban, suburban, and rural communities alike.

For many emerging consumer brands, securing shelf space with a national retailer can be a turning point. It increases brand recognition while creating new opportunities for long-term growth.

As Just for Teens prepares for its September expansion, the company continues to show how Black-owned businesses can scale successfully through innovation, persistence, and strong retail partnerships. Its journey also highlights the growing demand for skincare products created with younger consumers in mind.
