One of the bullets reportedly pierced part of the mansion’s wall. Other rounds struck the property’s gate and an RV parked in the driveway. Despite the damage, authorities confirmed that everyone inside the residence remained safe.
The home is shared by Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, and their three young children. Police have not yet said whether anyone else was present in the house at the time of the shooting.
Suspect Arrested After High-Speed Police Response
Police identified the suspect as Ivanna Ortiz, a 35-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida, USA. Authorities say she allegedly fired the shots using an AR-15-style rifle from inside her vehicle before leaving the area.
Officers quickly launched a search and used a helicopter to track the suspect’s car. The vehicle, described as a white Tesla Model S, was followed to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, CA, USA, where police arrested her roughly 30 minutes after the first emergency call.
During a search of the car, investigators said they found an assault-style rifle and several shell casings. Ortiz is currently being held on bail set at $10.2 million while authorities continue their investigation.
