H2 How a Childhood Passion Sparked a 24-Hour Childcare Vision
Keanna Sanders leads one of the most innovative childcare networks in the DMV region. As the founder and CEO of Sanbridge Early Learning Centers, she is reshaping childcare to fit the real schedules of today’s families. Her growing empire now includes a 24-hour facility and multiple locations that stay open until midnight.
Her passion started when she was a young girl helping her grandmother, who worked in childcare. Sanders spent her days surrounded by children and quickly became the neighborhood babysitter. That early experience shaped her future. “I was always around children,” she said. “Being able to take that love for children and working with my grandmother helped me get to where I am today.”
By her early twenties, she was a certified childcare professional with a bachelor’s degree. Those early steps laid the foundation for the business she runs today.
H2 Building Sanbridge From Eight Children to a Growing Enterprise
Sanders opened her first Sanbridge Early Learning Center with only eight children and three staff members. The start was tough, but word spread quickly. “Children started coming from everywhere. I wound up growing that business so fast,” she shared.
As her business expanded, she learned how to tap into state grants and small-business funding. She used that knowledge to strengthen her operations and now teaches other entrepreneurs how to do the same. Within three years, she bought the real estate for her first center and later won a bid to expand onto a college campus.
Each move pushed Sanbridge forward. Today, the business stands as a fast-growing childcare network grounded in quality care, community trust, and a clear vision.
H2 Flexible Childcare Hours That Support Real Working Families
Sanders built Sanbridge with one goal: to support families who don’t work standard 9-to-5 jobs. Many parents have overnight shifts, multiple jobs, or side businesses. She saw the need for flexible care and responded with extended hours and a 24-hour center.
“Everyone doesn’t have a nine-to-five,” Sanders explained. “These days, everybody hustles. So a lot of parents need non-traditional hours.” Her centers now stay open past 6 p.m., with one fully around the clock, giving parents a safe and dependable place for their children at any hour.
This approach has made Sanbridge essential for nurses, delivery workers, retail employees, students, and countless moms managing complex schedules.
H2 Expanding Sanbridge Into a Childcare Franchise Model
With her foundation strong, Sanders is now focused on growth. She is building out a franchise model that could bring flexible childcare to more cities. “You have to be creative in how you can expand,” she said. “I’m expanding. I’m creating a franchise model, and it’s a lot of work.”
Her long-term goal is bold and clear. “My vision is to be the world’s leading childcare provider and provide quality services,” she shared. This commitment drives every step of Sanbridge’s development.
The planned franchise network aims to offer consistent, high-quality childcare with flexible hours—something many families still desperately need.
H2 Mentoring Women and Building Generational Wealth
Beyond childcare, Sanders is also the leader of Baltimore Dynamic Women, a group that mentors women in life skills, business planning, and entrepreneurship. She believes deeply in empowering other women. “Every woman is dynamic in their own way,” she said.
Her work is also rooted in her role as a mother. Sanders is raising two sons, now 16 and 19, who grew up inside the Sanbridge community. They now work with her, helping with younger children and learning the business from the inside.
“My dream is to create a legacy for my children,” Sanders said. “I’m about generational wealth. I want my children to have something to fall back on.”
