Women’s boxing champion Claressa Shields has announced a bold and public open challenge worth $100,000. She is offering the payout to any woman fighter from any neighborhood or any country who is willing to face her in the ring. Her announcement came through an Instagram post on December 7, where she also shared victory photos showing her five championship belts.

Shields used the post to say she is ready for new opponents. However, she also made it clear that the challenge comes with conditions that benefit her time and brand.

Claressa Shields’ $100K Fight Offer Explained

Shields’ message was direct. She wrote, “LIKE I SAID, I GOT $100K FOR ANY GIRL FROM ANY HOOD, ANY COUNTRY!” The champion stressed that she is more than ready to fight, but she expects something in return.

She questioned what she would gain from giving others such a major opportunity. Shields said that any challenge must include incentives for her, given her status as the self-proclaimed GWOAT—Greatest Woman of All Time.

Therefore, she insisted that the fight cannot be a simple match-up. Instead, she wants it to be part of a larger project that showcases the journey, the preparation, and the fighters involved.

Push for a Reality TV Show and Live Auditions

To make the offer worthwhile, Shields said she wants the challenge turned into a reality TV show. She explained that this format would include live auditions and competitive rounds that help build excitement and transparency.

She tagged major platforms such as WWE, Netflix, The Zeus Network, and YouTube as possible partners. Her goal is to secure a home for the show and ensure wide visibility for both the challenge and her potential opponents.

Shields repeated that this setup is the “only way” she would accept what she described as “wasting my precious time proving what I already know.” The reality show model gives structure, drama, and a financial return that matches her level of commitment.

Shields Plans to Name Fighters She Considers Worthy

After posting the challenge, Shields continued the conversation in the comments. She revealed that she already has a list of potential fighters who she believes have “real heart and self-belief.”

She hinted that she will soon start naming these women publicly. This has sparked excitement online as fans try to guess who might appear on her list.

Her call-out also opens the door for unknown fighters worldwide who see the challenge as a chance to break out, gain recognition, and possibly secure a career-changing opportunity.

Background: Ongoing Search for a Major Opponent

Shields’ open challenge is part of her broader push to secure a major, headline-making fight. She has long expressed interest in facing former boxing champion Laila Ali.

Ali recently addressed this on her YouTube channel, making it clear that she has no intention of fighting Shields. She shared her reasons, pointing to Shields’ past comments about her and remarks involving her late father, Muhammad Ali.

Although a Shields vs. Ali showdown appears unlikely, Shields’ new open challenge may finally lead to a match-up worthy of her status and ambitions.
