WNBA All-Star Game Returns to Chicago with Major Celebration

The excitement is already building as WNBA announced that the 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game will be hosted at Wintrust Arena. The home of Chicago Sky will once again welcome the league’s top talent and thousands of fans on July 25.

This will be the second time Chicago has hosted the league’s biggest showcase. The last event at Wintrust Arena left a strong impression, and this year’s edition promises to be even bigger.

“The WNBA is thrilled to bring AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly deliver unforgettable competition and community outreach,” said Cathy Engelbert, WNBA Commissioner. “Together with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the game’s brightest stars, engaging WNBA fans around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of basketball’s most iconic cities.”

Fans Can Expect All-Star Action and Local Engagement

The All-Star Weekend will not only bring the best players in the league to the court but will also include special events designed for fans and the local community. WNBA Live, the league’s interactive fan festival, will return with activities around fashion, music, and culture. These events will be held at McCormick Place, giving fans a chance to meet players and experience basketball in a new way.

The highly anticipated 3-Point Contest and Kia WNBA Skills Challenge are scheduled for July 24, one day before the All-Star Game. Fans can look forward to fast-paced competition, incredible performances, and a weekend filled with basketball excitement.

The arena is also home to star player Angel Reese, who will be in her third season when the event takes place. Her presence adds extra buzz to this year’s celebration in Chicago.

Chicago Sky Leadership Shares Excitement for 2026 Event

The team’s leadership expressed strong pride in welcoming the league’s top event again. “The Chicago Sky is thrilled to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago,” said Adam Fox, the team’s CEO and President. “We can’t wait to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league by showcasing the WNBA’s biggest stars on a world-class stage.”

He added that Chicago’s rich basketball legacy will make this All-Star Game special for fans traveling from across the globe. The city’s vibrant sports culture, combined with the league’s growing popularity, is expected to make this event one of the highlights of the season.

Tickets and Event Schedule Coming Soon

The WNBA confirmed that more details about the All-Star schedule will be released in the coming months. Ticket sales are expected to open in 2026, giving fans enough time to plan their trip to Chicago.

This year’s event will showcase not just basketball excellence but also the growing cultural influence of the league. With young fans and longtime supporters expected to fill the arena, the weekend is set to create lasting memories in Chicago.
