Beyoncé Expands Cécred With Protective Hair Care Line

Beyoncé’s hair care brand Cécred has launched a new collection made for Black women who wear protective styles. The line, called the Protection Collection, is designed for braids, wigs, weaves, and extensions.

The products focus on scalp care, detangling, and nourishment while preventing the common issues Black women face when wearing these styles. This is the first time Cécred has launched a collection fully dedicated to protective styling.

“Protective styles should protect, not harm,” the brand said in its launch announcement. “This collection helps Black women care for their hair at every stage.”

A Lineup Made for Protective Styles

The Protection Collection introduces five products tailored to the unique needs of Black women. Each item addresses the tension, dryness, and buildup that often come with protective hairstyles.

The five products include:

  • Scalp Refreshing Spray
  • Detangling Spray
  • Detoxifying Shampoo
  • Hair & Scalp Balm
  • Oil Ritual

Together, they provide a complete system for clean, moisturized, and healthy hair even while in protective styles.

Scalp Refreshing Spray: Relief for Itchy Scalps

One of the most anticipated products is the Scalp Refreshing Spray. It acts as a no-rinse cleanser that breaks down buildup and refreshes the scalp.

The spray features PhytoFerment technology, peppermint oil, menthol, and ceramides. It soothes itchiness, reduces odor, and delivers a cooling sensation even under braids or wigs.

Its special nozzle makes it easy to reach hidden parts of the scalp. Cécred also added a signature scent called Nocturne Spice, with notes of pink pepper, vanilla, cardamom, and oud.

Detangling Spray: Softer and Easier Styling

Detangling has always been one of the toughest parts of Black hair care. Cécred’s new Detangling Spray was created to ease that struggle.

The formula uses slippery elm and aloe vera to provide moisture, softness, and slip. This makes detangling faster and gentler, reducing the risk of breakage.

Experts say gentle detangling is critical for retaining length. This spray works especially well when taking down braids or weaves.

Detoxifying Shampoo: A Fresh Start for Hair

Clean hair before and after protective styles is a must. The new Detoxifying Shampoo offers a deep cleanse that removes dirt, oil, and buildup.

It also enhances color vibrancy and prevents brassiness, making it perfect for women who wear dyed hair. Beyoncé herself has often highlighted the importance of maintaining blonde tones, and this shampoo helps do just that.

Cécred infused the formula with its patented Bioactive Keratin Ferment to strengthen and repair hair.

Hair & Scalp Balm: Multi-Use Moisture

Scalp dryness is a common challenge for Black women. Beyoncé has shared her own experience with scalp psoriasis, highlighting the need for better scalp care.

The Hair & Scalp Balm melts from balm to oil with the warmth of your fingers. Once applied, it soothes, protects, and hydrates sensitive scalps.

Beyond scalp care, the balm has more than 10 uses. It can smooth frizz, blend leave-outs, soften hair, and even aid in braiding.

Oil Ritual: Deep Nourishment for Dry Hair

Rituals are a signature part of Cécred. The new Oil Ritual follows the brand’s rice and rose protein treatment. This time, the focus is deep hydration.

The Oil Ritual blends 21 oils, including African oils, manuka, and peppermint. It can be applied at room temperature or heated for deeper penetration.

The result is softer, shinier, and healthier hair that holds up beautifully even after weeks in protective styles.

A Collection That Honors Black Hair

With this launch, Cécred continues to prove its commitment to celebrating and protecting Black hair. The Protection Collection addresses everyday struggles Black women face with braids, wigs, weaves, and extensions.

By creating a complete care system, Beyoncé is making protective styling healthier and more empowering. This marks another powerful moment in her mission to center Black women in beauty.
