Quinta Brunson and ‘Abbott Elementary’ Keep Making History

More Stars Bring Black Talent to Center Stage

Ayo Edebiri earned a nomination for her work in The Bear. Colman Domingo was also recognized for his role in The Four Seasons. These wins show how Black actors continue to shape comedy on television.

In the drama category, Natasha Rothwell returned to The White Lotus and earned a nomination. Tramell Tillman and Kevin Hart were also honored, expanding the list of Black nominees across genres.

Celebrating Excellence in Documentaries and Reality Shows

The Emmys also celebrated Black stories in documentaries and reality shows. Simone Biles Rising and Sly Lives! were nominated for their powerful storytelling. These works show the strength and complexity of Black figures in real life.

Barack Obama and Idris Elba received nominations for Outstanding Narrator. RuPaul earned another nomination for RuPaul’s Drag Race, while Untucked was recognized in two categories.
