Oprah Denies Diddy Party Rumors at Good Soil Forum
Oprah Winfrey wants you to know—she has never been to a Diddy party. Not even close.
Speaking at Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Good Soil Forum in Dallas, Oprah addressed wild internet rumors claiming she attended one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ infamous “freak-off” events. She shut it all the way down.
“First of all, I have never been near a Puff party,” Oprah said to the crowd. “Anybody who knows me knows if there is a party, I am the first one out. I like to sit at home with my thoughts by the fire, with the dogs.”
T.D. Jakes Responds to AI Lies Too
Bishop T.D. Jakes also cleared his name during the same fireside chat. While admitting he once stopped by a Diddy birthday event for just 30 minutes, he made it clear that’s all it was.
“Not only do they not know it, but they help spread it,” he said. “I am almost 70 years old. What do I look like at this late day going? That is the kind of world that we are living in.”
Both icons used the moment to highlight the dangers of AI-generated images and false stories online.
Oprah Says Let God Lead, Not Pressure
Oprah used the event to go deeper—sharing how she built her empire by listening to her faith. She said every time she’s succeeded, it was because she asked God first.
“I have been God-led and spirit-led from the beginning,” she explained. “Every decision that led to success came from sitting with the spirit.”
But when she didn’t pause or pray? She stumbled. Oprah said she launched OWN too quickly because of outside pressure—and it nearly failed.
A Message to Black Women: Be Still Before You Move
Oprah encouraged the crowd, especially women, to learn from her. Take your time. Know what you want. And make sure everyone around you is on the same page.
“Opportunity comes your way by being clear about what you actually want to achieve,” she said. “And having everyone else in alignment with that vision.”
This message hit home for many Black women in the room who feel pressured to move fast or prove themselves. Oprah reminded them that power comes from stillness and clarity—not stress.
Good Soil Forum Helps Black Entrepreneurs Build Bigger Dreams
The Good Soil Forum, launched in 2023, gives minority business owners tools to grow and lead. This year’s conference offered workshops, panels, and a $500,000 pitch competition sponsored by Wells Fargo.
Speakers included entrepreneur Pinky Cole Hayes, Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo, Wallstreet Trapper, and David Banner.
But Oprah and Jakes’ words stood out most—not just for their truth, but for their timing.
