Beyoncé stuns in Paris to begin Cowboy Carter tour
Beyoncé lit up the Stade de France on Thursday night, June 19, as she opened her Cowboy Carter tour with a sold-out show in Paris. The concert was full of surprises, with the biggest being Miley Cyrus joining her on stage for their first-ever live performance of “II Most Wanted.”
Before Cyrus appeared, Beyoncé told fans, “I wanted to do something very special for you guys.” Then, Miley rose from below the stage, striking a Beyoncé-style pose as the crowd erupted.
This moment marked a powerful reunion. It was their first performance together since 2008, when they shared a stage at a benefit concert.
First live duet of Grammy-winning “II Most Wanted”
The duet came from Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, released in 2024. The song earned them a Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance earlier this year.
Fans had hoped the two stars would sing it live, but no one expected it so soon—or so beautifully. They sang in perfect harmony, moving across the stage with a mix of grace, joy, and deep connection.
Miley later said on Instagram, “To be beside such a humble, gracious, legendary DIVA was a dream come true.” She thanked Beyoncé for letting her be part of such a big moment in Paris.
Beyoncé and Miley shine in custom gold outfits
Both stars dressed like royalty in matching gold. Beyoncé wore a custom mini dress by Rabanne, made from the brand’s famous metallic chainmail. The dress featured a bold fringe neckline, an asymmetrical hem, and a belt that pulled the whole look together.
Adding her own country twist, Beyoncé paired the dress with gold cowboy boots—perfect for her Cowboy Carter theme.
Miley looked just as stunning in a rhinestone-covered catsuit by Alexander McQueen. The design came from the fashion house’s 2025 pre-collection and featured tattoo-inspired embroidery and built-in heels.
Fans celebrate moment of sisterhood and style
The crowd of thousands cheered throughout the duet. But beyond the glamour and vocals, what stood out most was the energy of love and sisterhood between the two women.
Miley told fans, “To perform our song about friendship in Paris… it’s more than I could’ve imagined.”
Earlier in the week, videos of Miley at soundcheck had already sparked rumors of something big. But no one guessed this level of magic would unfold.
Beyoncé begins international tour with powerful message
The Paris show was just the beginning. Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour is her bold step into country music, but the energy remains pure Queen Bey. From fashion to friendship, she set the tone for what’s to come.
Miley’s presence made opening night even more meaningful. The two stars not only gave fans great music—they offered a shared moment of joy, power, and unity between two generations of icons.
