Angel Reese Partners with McDonald’s for a Game-Changing Collaboration

WNBA star Angel Reese is making history once again. The 22-year-old basketball sensation has become the first female athlete to have her own national meal collaboration with McDonald’s. The “Angel Reese Special” is more than just a meal—it’s a statement of empowerment, representation, and excellence.

This collaboration marks a “full-circle moment” for Reese, who grew up loving McDonald’s and watching the brand’s iconic All-American commercials. Now, she stands alongside legendary athletes who have worked with the fast-food giant. The meal, which includes a BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a bold new BBQ sauce, is a reflection of her personality and style.

“I was so excited! McDonald’s is iconic. I remember begging my mom to take me there as a kid,” Reese shared. “Now, having my own meal is unreal. It was only right that I added my own flavor to it!”

A Year of Success and Breaking Barriers

Reese’s partnership with McDonald’s is just the latest milestone in her remarkable career. In her rookie WNBA season, she dominated on the court and made an impact off it. She launched a historic collaboration with Reese’s and Kid Super, proving that female athletes can thrive in multiple industries.

Her influence extends beyond basketball. At the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards, she was named “Style Influencer of the Year,” solidifying her status as a trendsetter. With each new deal, she continues to inspire young athletes and redefine what it means to be a female sports star.

The Angel Reese Special: A Meal with Meaning

The “Angel Reese Special” is more than a menu item—it represents confidence and self-expression. The BBQ sauce, described by McDonald’s as “as bold as Bayou Barbie herself,” is a nod to Reese’s fearless approach to life and sports.

When asked about the inspiration behind the meal, Reese explained, “It’s really just my go-to order. I worked with McDonald’s to make sure it reflected me and the things I love. Fans are going to enjoy it!”

Her partnership with McDonald’s also highlights the growing influence of women’s basketball. Reese hopes this deal opens doors for other female athletes to land major brand collaborations. “We’ve got a voice, we’ve got a platform, and it’s our time to step into opportunities that weren’t always there before.”

A Legacy of Inspiration for Young Athletes

Beyond her achievements, Reese remains committed to inspiring the next generation. She wants young girls to see that they can excel in sports, business, and fashion. Her success is proof that Black women in sports deserve the same recognition and opportunities as their male counterparts.

“I hope this shows the next generation that we’re more than just what happens during the game,” she said. “Women’s basketball is here to stay, and we’re a force.”
