A New York Times/Siena College poll revealed that while 90% voted for President Biden in 2020, that number has fallen to 78%. In battleground states, 82% still support Harris, but 15% are considering Trump.
Former President Barack Obama voiced his frustration at this trend during a recent event in Pittsburgh. He cautioned against complacency, urging Black men not to sit out the election or support Trump. “You have someone who has consistently shown disregard, not just for the communities, but for you as a person,” Obama stated. His comments sparked a backlash from some Black Republicans, who argued that their reasons for shifting support are more complex.
