Historic Sweep by Black Gymnasts at Paris 2024

In a groundbreaking moment for gymnastics, Rebeca Andrade, Simone Biles, and Jordan Chiles made history by sweeping all medals in the Floor Exercise at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Andrade won gold, Biles secured silver, and Chiles took bronze, marking the first time three Black women have achieved this feat. Their performances were even more memorable as they competed to music by Beyoncé.

Rebeca Andrade Claims Gold with Beyoncé’s Hits

Rebeca Andrade triumphed in the Floor Exercise, scoring 14.166 to win gold. Andrade, Brazil’s most decorated gymnast at the Games, dazzled the judges with her routine set to Beyoncé’s “End of Time.”

This win highlights Andrade’s exceptional skill and dedication, making her a standout performer of the competition.

Simone Biles Shines Despite Tough Competition

Simone Biles earned silver with a score of 14.133, just behind Andrade. Biles performed a routine to a mix of Beyoncé’s tracks, showcasing her incredible talent and resilience.

Despite facing exhaustion and pressure, Biles expressed pride in her performance and the opportunity to compete alongside Andrade and Chiles.

Jordan Chiles Rises to the Occasion

Jordan Chiles secured bronze with a score of 13.766. Initially in fifth place, Chiles was elevated to the podium after a scoring review. Her routine featured Beyoncé’s hits like “Black Parade” and “Lose My Breath,” reflecting her passion for the music and her gymnastics prowess.

On the podium, Biles and Chiles celebrated Andrade’s victory with heartfelt support. They bowed down to Andrade as she posed with her gold medal, highlighting their unity and mutual respect. This moment underscored the spirit of camaraderie among the athletes.
