Issa Rae’s Branded Entertainment Powerhouse

Issa Rae, the acclaimed entertainment mogul, is taking bold steps to expand opportunities for creators in the diverse creator economy. Through her branded entertainment company, Ensemble, she has secured a groundbreaking deal with the Spanish-language media giant, TelevisaUnivision.

Empowering Hispanic Creators

This strategic partnership aims to provide Hispanic creators with equal opportunities and resources to succeed in the realm of brand partnerships. By collaborating with Así Studios, TelevisaUnivision’s in-house brand studio, Ensemble will offer Hispanic creators valuable brand opportunities and professional development through “creator camps.”

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Riess, executive vp and chief growth officer at TelevisaUnivision, emphasized the importance of this initiative:

“Hispanic creators deserve equal opportunities and resources to succeed, and there’s always more work to be done to ensure they have access. We’ve built robust capabilities through Así Creators to meet the needs of brands in connecting them with authentic voices in the Latino community, but there’s always more work to be done.”

Amplifying Authentic Voices

Issa Rae’s Ensemble is committed to bringing more equity to the Creator Economy, and this partnership aligns perfectly with that mission. Ian Schafer, president of Ensemble, expressed his excitement about the collaboration:

“As we execute our mission to bring more equity to the Creator Economy, it’s imperative that we have like-minded partners who are doing the work to provide more opportunities for creators from underrepresented communities.”

Schafer further emphasized the partnership’s potential to empower Ensemble’s market-leading Hispanic creators, leveraging TelevisaUnivision’s extensive portfolio of intellectual property and experiences to engage with brands deeply rooted in “La Cultura,” regardless of platform or format.

Nurturing the Next Generation

Beyond empowering established creators, this partnership aims to provide practical on-ramps for the next generation of professional Hispanic content creators to emerge and succeed sustainably.

“Just as importantly, this partnership will provide practical on-ramps for the next generation of professional Hispanic content creators to sustainably emerge and succeed,” Schafer added.

By combining Ensemble’s expertise and TelevisaUnivision’s extensive reach, this collaboration promises to amplify authentic voices and foster a more inclusive and equitable creator economy.
