Mother and Daughter Shine on Cover

Actress Skai Jackson and her mom Kiya Cole looked amazing together on the cover of ‘Deeper Than Hair Magazine.’ The two rocked stylish denim outfits and had cool hairstyles that looked like blooming roses.

“Being a mom changes how you see the world,” said Kiya, opening up about the life-changing experience of motherhood.

Skai also talked about how much she appreciates her mom’s unconditional love and guidance growing up.

Expressing Themselves Through Hair

Besides bonding over family, Skai and Kiya discussed their personal hair journeys. Skai, who partners with Cantu Beauty, loves getting silk press styles but is careful not to overdo it to protect her hair.

“Once I get my hair done, I don’t straighten it again until my next wash day. If it gets messy, I just put it in a clip or bun,” said Skai.

Meanwhile, Kiya has rocked a bold short hairstyle since the 90s as her way of expressing herself.
