Nyanin’s impressive resume speaks volumes about her expertise and passion for the sport. Previously, she served as the assistant general manager for the New York Liberty for over five years, gaining invaluable experience in roster management, team development, and player growth.
Championing Women’s Basketball on the Global Stage
Before her tenure with the Liberty, Nyanin spent five years at USA Basketball as the assistant director of the women’s national team. Her contributions were instrumental in guiding the USA Basketball Women’s National Team to gold medal victories at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2018 World Cup in Spain.

A Trailblazer’s Journey
Nyanin’s journey to this groundbreaking role began at American University, where she graduated in 2011 with a Master of Science in Justice and Public Policy. A talented athlete herself, Nyanin played for the American University’s women’s basketball team, leading her squad with 6.3 rebounds per game in the 2009-10 season.
