A Powerhouse Collaboration: Teyana Taylor’s Directorial Debut

In a remarkable display of Black excellence, multi-talented artist Teyana Taylor is set to make her highly anticipated directorial debut with the upcoming film “Get Lite.”

This groundbreaking project will see her joining forces with the incredible Storm Reid, who has been tapped to star in the lead role.

“For Taylor, a Harlem native who first made a name for herself working as a choreographer and dancer, the project will allow the talented multi-hyphenate to further expand her resume into directing while simultaneously tapping into her roots.”

Storm Reid, fresh off her recent Emmy win for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her powerful performance in “The Last of Us,” continues to solidify her status as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after and talented young actors.

Her involvement in “Get Lite” not only showcases her remarkable acting abilities but also her commitment to supporting and elevating fellow Black creators.

A Compelling Story of Passion and Self-Discovery

“Get Lite” follows the journey of a studious New York City teenager whose world is turned upside down when he falls for a charismatic beatmaker, played by Reid. Recruited to join her Litefeet dance crew, he finds himself at a crossroads, torn between his academic aspirations and his rekindled love for dance.

“The film taps The Last Of Us star and Emmy winner Storm Reid to star. Along with starring in the production, Reid will also co-produce the film under her own imprint, A Seed & Wings Productions, as well as Kenya Barris and his Khalabo Ink Society.”

Adding to the star-studded lineup, the film boasts an impressive production team. Reid will co-produce through her banner, A Seed & Wings Productions, alongside renowned producer Kenya Barris and his Khalabo Ink Society.
