A search is underway for a woman who attacked 13 year old #KassidyJones at a Lomita, CA McDonald’s.
On September 6th, Jones and her friends reportedly visited the McDonald’s on the way home. Kassidy was exiting the women’s restroom when a grown, unidentified woman cornered and attacked her.
“They’re looking and they’re videotaping her just getting beat up and no one tried to stop it, the employees, the customers,” said Angelina Gray, Kassidy’s mother. “You don’t just sit there and watch someone beat another person. How can you sleep at night?”
According to reports, the McDonald’s employees had an obligation under California AB 1422 to intervene or call police to stop the beating.
“My daughter is hurting emotionally. She can’t sleep at night. She’s bruised… She doesn’t want to go to school because she’s tired of the kids and everybody asking her what happened and making fun of her,” said Gray.
As for the other patrons, they should be ASHAMED.
Kassidy and her family are held a protest at the McDonald’s location following the attack. They are demanding that the woman turn herself in and for McDonald’s managers to be prosecuted for doing nothing to protect the child.
