22 years ago, our nation experienced a horror that none of us will ever forget. VP Kamala Harris visited Ground Zero in New York to honor the victims.

“Today we stood on hallowed ground to remember the 2,977 lives lost in the September 11th attacks,” she tweeted this morning.

“We will never forget them, and we will never forget the friends and family members who lost loved ones. We stand with you — today and every day.”

President Biden visited Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska today to be with service members after returning from the G20 summit in India.

“I join you on this solemn day to renew our sacred vow: never forget,” Biden proclaimed to service members, first responders and their families. “Each of those precious lives stolen too soon when evil attacked ground zero in New York.”

The President said that the 9/11 attacks “tested our strength, our resolve and our courage.”

“But we’ll never forget that when faced with evil and an enemy who sought to tear us apart, we endured,” the president said. “We endured.”

We are sending love to those of you whose lives were forever changed this day. 🙏🏾 #BWLM💕
