The United States Department of Justice announced they will not file charges almost six months after Shanquella Robinson mysteriously died while vacationing in Mexico with “friends.”

On Wednesday, the Department of Justice announced that federal authorities completed an autopsy on Shanquella in North Carolina, though the report does not detail what those results were.

“Experienced federal agents and seasoned prosecutors extensively reviewed the available evidence and have concluded that federal charges cannot be pursued,” a U.S. Department of Justice statement reads.

Shanquella was just 25 when she traveled to Mexico with six friends in October 2022. The day after arriving, Robinson, a Charlotte, N.C. native, was pronounced dead.

Weeks after she died, a disturbing video began circulating online showing Shanquella being beaten in what appeared to be the villa she was vacationing at before she passed.

The Robinson family was told she died from alcohol poisoning by a “friend” who accompanied her on the trip.

However, according to an autopsy conducted in Mexico, Shanquella died of “atlas and medullary dislocation,” a broken neck and spine.

Mexican authorities have called her death a femicide, a gender-based murder, and a hate crime, according to the Robinson family attorneys.

Mexican law enforcement issued an arrest warrant for one of Shanquella’s travel mates. U.S. Authorities have yet to identify that person to the public.

We are praying that Shanquella receives justice 🙏🏾 #BWLM💕
