During an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show, Teyana Taylor, 32, revealed that she would be portraying music icon Dionne Warwick in a forthcoming biopic.
The entertainer told Hall that production on the project has started. “We’re already working on it; we’re in the building process right now,” said Taylor.
The singer also revealed that she talks to Warwick daily to get to know her better.
‘She’s had a wonderful career, and I think right now it’s about making her feel as safe as possible to tell her story,’ the New York native said, explaining that she wants to do Warwick justice.
A title and release date for the biopic telling the story of the 82-year-old hitmaker has yet to be revealed.
