LSU Women’s Basketball Wins 1st National Championship In Program History, Defeating Iowa In NCAA Tournament Final Four

The LSU Tigers defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85 Sunday to win the program’s first NCAA women’s basketball national championship in Dallas, Texas.

During the record-setting performance, Jasmine Carson scored 22 points to lead the Tigers, and Angel Reese recorded yet another double-double at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

LSU’s 102 total points set a new record for the most points scored by a team in a women’s championship game.
